National Handball Championships to be held in Samcheok, Gangwon-do, South Korea

The Korea Handball Association will hold the '79th National Handball Championships' from April 20 to April 28 in Samcheok-si, Gangwon-do.

The '79th National Handball Championships' will be led by Ilshin Girls' High School (girls' high school), which is aiming to win its third consecutive national championship, and last year's winners Seonsang High School (boys' high school), Jincheon Middle School (boys' middle school), and Daejeon Boksusucho (boys' elementary school), which will take the court to win the title once again.

In the girls' secondary division, Inhwa Girls' Middle School will be looking to bounce back from last year's runner-up finish, while Incheon Gwolcho, who won the Taebaek Games in February, will be competing in the girls' elementary division. The tournament will be held for nine days at three venues: Samcheok Elementary School, Samcheok Civic Gymnasium, and Samcheok Gymnasium.

Teams in each division will compete in league matches, and the top two teams in each group will advance to the tournament. Depending on the number of participating teams, the girls' elementary and high school divisions will have a six-round tournament, while other divisions will have an eight-round tournament.

Meanwhile, the 79th National Handball Championship will be broadcast live on the AI SPORTS TV application through YST's AI unmanned refereeing.
