KT Shooting Team Wins 5 Medals at Presidential Games

KT Shooting Team wins five medals at the Chairman's National Shooting Championships

KT Shooting Team won a total of five medals, including two gold, two silver, and one bronze, at the 40th Presidential National Shooting Championships held at the Cheongju National Shooting Center from April 12 to 19.
On Day 1, Kim Sang-do won the silver medal in the men's 10-meter air rifle event with a score of 626.7 in the qualification round and 250.4 in the final.

On Day 2, Kang Ji-Eun won silver in the women's clay trap event with 99 points in the qualification and 40 in the final, while Kim Sang-Do took bronze in the men's 50-meter rifle three-position individual event with 584 points in the qualification and 446.4 in the final.

On Day 4, Chun Hong-jae won gold in the men's clay double trap event, and on Day 6, Jang Kook-hee took first place in the women's clay skeet individual event.

KT Shooting Team currently has Jang Kook-hee (clay skeet) and Park Ha-joon (10m air rifle) on the Paris Olympic team. However, there is still room for more. Kang Ji-eun finished second overall in the shotgun trap event at the Olympic Trials in Paris, leaving the door open for her to compete at the Olympics if Korea secures an additional Olympic berth at the World Cup in Qatar, which begins on Tuesday.

"KT Shooting will continue to actively support Korean shooting so that it can shine in international competitions," the organization said.
