Outgrow now gives you the ability to fight spam, and have more control over your content by restricting certain users from accessing your Calculator. These restrictions can be applied on the basis of:
A. IP Address
C. Email Domain
When this restriction is enabled, users whose IP Address is restricted are taken to a 404 error page when they try to access Outgrow. The page appears with a Custom Message displayed on it.
Using this functionality we currently cannot block an IP Address range. We will have to specify the IP Addresses one by one.
While applying user restrictions, you can also enable Test Mode. This will ensure that users from the specified IP Addresses are able to access your Outgrow content and submit data as usual, however, for these users, the following things will not happen in Outgrow:
A. Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel will not be triggered.
B. User & Traffic data will not be saved in Analytics.
When this restriction is enabled, users who access the Outgrow content from the specified country will see a 404 error page along with a Custom Message on it.
When this restriction is enabled, users using the restricted domain will see a message when they try to submit their lead information on the lead generation form.
Users will be able to access the content, but will not be able to submit their details using the restricted domain.
When you enable Whitelist by IP address, only users using the specified IP address will be able to access the content, and the rest will see a 404 error page along with a Custom Message on it.
When you enable Whitelist by Country, only users using the specified Country will be able to access the content, and the rest will see a 404 error page along with a Custom Message on it.
This functionality is not available in all Outgrow plans.
