Configuring Twilio SMS Gateway and using it as a part of Double Opt In functionality

Now you can configure your Twilio SMS Gateway with Outgrow to set up SMS confirmation as part of the Double Opt-In functionality. This guide will help you understand how to configure this feature.

Configuring SMS Gateway in Outgrow

1. To configure your SMS Gateway in Outgrow, log in to your Outgrow dashboard by clicking here.

2. Click on the Settings icon, represented by your account initials, in the top right corner. Then, click on Billings & Settings.

3. Now under Email & SMS Settings, navigate to SMS Gateway Settings.

4. Specify your Twilio SMS Gateway server config under SMS Gateway Settings. Learn how to access Account SID and Auth Token in your Twilio account here.

5. Click on Test & Save, to authenticate the connection between Outgrow and Twilio.

Configuring SMS as a part of Double Opt-In functionality

1. Head to the Outgrow content piece where you want to set up Double Opt-In. Next, go to Integration under the Configure tab while in Build mode.

2. To enable Double Opt-In, you need to click on the Reconfigure icon for the integration you want to modify.

3. In the Double Opt-In configuration section, activate the Set Double Opt-In via SMS option.

4. To select the phone number for each user, use the dropdown in the To field. Also, provide a sample phone number for the test SMS. Additionally, you have the option to customize the email template to be used.

5. Click on Save to save the settings and then click on Finish.
